Self-agency or personal power is one of the most important traits one can develop. It gives us a sense of control over our lives. We can be self-directed putting into action our goals and choosing our own path in life. We can initiate and execute what calls to us. We can respond to a call for action as the brave women I interviewed did in WW 2.
In the presentation I’ll be doing at The Sophia Center (details below) I’ll be exploring self-agency in wartime women spies and what their authentic narratives tell us about our individual versus cultural voices today.
More on self-agency in this article in Psychology Today .
